Soft Maple

Colour
Sapwood is slightly lighter than hard maple. Its colour ranges from pale to almost white. Heartwood is grey to pale reddish brown with characteristic brown streaks.
Texture
Close grain, uniform, grain pattern similar to hard maple's, although 25% softer.
Common applications
Furniture, mouldings, millwork, cabinetry.
